Go Green

Go Green: Everywhere has suddenly gone green! Tree branches filling with that lovely pale green of new leaves coming out and flower blossom starting to show…absolutely magical considering it was only a few weeks ago that we were in the snow.

The temperature of the river is still much colder than usual at this time of year though. March usually sees it at its coldest, but by mid April it usually starts to get warmer. Not at the moment it seems… rather the river appears to be hanging onto the cold of the ice.

Nature is ‘Going Green’ …wish all of mankind would too. Spied plastic on the way to the swim spot this morning. Makes me feel so sad. People come to the river at the weekend and leave litter. I just don’t comprehend it. We didn’t visit this swim spot over the weekend, rather we went down to the coast yesterday. There the plastic story was even more prolific.

Considerably more than this time last year… it was as though the Ocean was sicking up plastic…a grim analogy, but then prap’s not given that plastic IS making the Ocean so sick. Met a lovely lady… also with two yampy dogs!… who was also shocked by the increase – ‘still,’ she commented, ‘at least people are starting to be aware of it…even if it is the 11th hour’ It is so true…seeing the piles of plastic, it feels that it really is almost too late…

So everyone…

Let’s take a ‘leaf’ out of Nature’s book…and

GO GREEN!

Namaste
