The Toadstool

The Toadstool: One of those days when you need a little magic in your life… came across this toadstool by the river today…but sadly the caterpillar was not in residence… a day to make your own magic therefore…

Feel a bit like Alice sometimes? Like life is just too complicated and situations are just overwhelming…too ‘big’ to fathom? It’s a challenge not to shrink at such times…just like Alice…shrink into yourself and contract away from what it is that is a challenge…telling yourself that it just ‘wont work’ its just too much to sort out.

Thing is we always have a choice…emotions hit us hard and they can hurt like Hell… causing us to feel tormented and wanting to hide away inside ourselves…it works in the short run….we are able to avoid ‘pain’ to a degree and convince ourselves that we are ‘Ok’ But in truth we are not…we have just contracted ourselves and contracted our experience of life…

So… rather than contract perhaps take the other side ’of the mushroom’ and try a different approach… embrace the fear and emotions…feel the full force of them and open up to experiencing an expansive situation and dynamic that can potentially enhance your life… this takes courage…it takes perhaps a leap into the unknown… but what have you got to lose…really??

Life is short… live it to the full…
