Challenge…an opportunity?
Challenge…an opportunity?
When you find yourself challenged by external circumstances you have a choice. You can slump in the fear and dread that you initially feel. You could then go on to panic and feel a victim and feel sorry for yourself that your life is no longer the same. Or, you can feel a sense of fear and dread and yet chose not to go down the rabbit hole and instead explore what opportunity the experience could perhaps open up for you.
All growth comes from and through change. A seed is destroyed for a tree to grow and the greatest opportunities could grow for you during a difficult and challenging experience. What is it that is aspiring to emerge through you?
Change and a loss of a status quo can feel catastrophic and those feelings are real enough, no one is denying that, but the greatest breakthroughs born of our greatest insights are given the opportunity to surface and be heard during a challenging time. Insights into our relationships, how we interact within our live and our communities, how we interact with nature and perhaps most importantly with all how we interact with ourselves.
Self isolation is not a new thing. Many people have been doing it for years, living on the edge of society, pulling away from the rat race, instead choosing to be closer to nature and to live authentically to their own truths and ideals and yet suddenly it is being experienced ‘en masse’ and being perceived as a negative experience.
Everyone and everything has to pause and take a breath. The challenge of being still is an opportunity for this. A time to realign, to check in with what is aspiring to emerge and to allow creative perceptions to be heard that can become plans that can formulate our aspirations within our lives as new opportunities and a new status quo that is more fulfilling, more rewarding and reflects the truth of who we are at our core.
All external challenges offer this opportunity, a loss of a job, an ending of a relationship, a personal crisis and currently the crisis of illness. The result … a slowing of the pace for a while. Just for a while.
In this ‘space’ what reflections and perceptions surface? What changes within you need perhaps need to be honoured to allow for a greater more authentic you to shine out into the world?
What is aspiring to emerge through you?
