Silver Ring
Silver Ring: The river claimed a silver ring of mine yesterday morning… I was completely gutted. We searched high and low for it but to no avail. It is weird how something so simple can feel so horrible to lose…you feel cheated almost. So much for non-attachment! Tried to be philosophical about it, but to no avail. It bothered me!
So…I told a friend my misfortune and laughing he suggested donning snorkles and wetsuits for a ‘deep river salvage expedition’ …I went and asked the river fairies to help… may seem totally mental if you are a non-believer and/or don’t see fairies…but fairies are notorious for helping finding things, but only if they feel like it and only if they don’t want to keep the item themselves. They are usually happy to help, so long as you ask and give them a gift of thanks afterwards…
What a sight… wet suited up trawling the river for a tiny ring… but there it was… in the river but on a rock on the river bed as easy to see as anything…it definitely wasn’t in that position this morning and neither could it have been put there by any current. The rock was too high for that. My friend was surprised and joked that it must have taken 3 river fairies to lift a ring? And asked what I thought.
Interestingly later when I dowsed how many pieces of rose quartz to put in the river to say thank you… I dowsed 3 pieces. One each then I guess!
…And so is the magic of the river. You may believe, you may not…but the fact is that the river weaves magic into every ones lives who is drawn to it… whether that be for water sports, swimming or connection to other frequencies of energy…
All things are interwoven and formulate the story that the river sings as it flows down – stream…
