Woolly Hat
Woolly hat: Bright start to the day…but not to be fooled donned woolly hat as headed out for the river. A woolly hat is possible one of the ‘essentials’ for wild swimming. At least, I don’t know where I would be without mine anyways… you can kind of kid yourself that you are still snugged up in the warm rather than about to throw yourself in cold water…
Love the warmth…and the sun…but it takes a lot to be separate from my hat… made me laugh at the weekend…there I was when other people were walking around in shorts and tees… still we all have a ‘story’ and I am guessing that they weren’t aware of mine!
Stories are funny things…part of the baggage that we carry around. Some stories are empowering and others restrictive…but what they all have in common is that they affect our behaviour which in turn effects what we create in our ‘future’…
What would you do differently if you knew 150% that your dreams were unfolding for you right at this moment?
Would you pause…breath…take a deep breath in and look around at the landscape, at the flowers…and smile, feeling happy and supported?
Would you spend the days doing what you do now? Would you cease to beat yourself up, wear yourself down and run yourself ragged with your emotions and thoughts?
Does the river ever worry that it will cease to ‘flow’ or that it is going in the ‘wrong’ direction?
No.
The river moves around…it flows over…and by the simply act of flowing over time it can carve beautiful V-shaped valleys…
So…pause for a moment from your ‘doing’. Pause for a moment if you are feeling weary, tense or your thoughts are getting the better of you and are forming anxiety or depression…
Just pause…and breathe…
…and notice the flowers, the birds, something ‘simple’ and smile…
Allow yourself to be whole…perfect just as you are…
What would you be doing knowing that without a doubt your dreams were unfolding for you now?
In this very instant?
Namaste
