Back at the river

Back in the river, which welcomed me with its usual ice embrace… more shocking after yesterday’s sea dip. Made me smile though; if rivers ‘do’ understand treachery then guess it took it’s revenge!

Pond skaters were dancing away and a few fish darting in the shallows, but other than that had the river to myself…Didn’t swim for long, today being one of those days when your body just doesn’t have the same resilience somehow. Bit like life in general perhaps…sometimes you feel you can take on the world…at other times you just want to hide in the water reeds…
