Gratitude
Gratitude is a way of being. As I made way to the river this morning the early sun was burning off the water leaving a misty trail like an enormous serpent weaving through the valley. Totally awesome and mind – blowingly beautiful.
One of those moments when living in gratitude is easy. Just take a look around and literally you have a 360 of the awesome beauty of nature in the early morning light. The kind of landscape that inspires the poet in us all.
It’s not always so easy to live in gratitude though is it? Fear, doubt, worry…’bad’ things happening…live in gratitude in those instances? Yeah great! Thing is though, gratitude is not a ‘one off’ action, a sporadic thought that you have when something ‘good’ happens. Rather gratitude is a way of being, a way of living. It’s a spiritual practice that results in you maximising the ‘wow’ factor of the ‘good’ things and experiences in your life and also serves as a stepping stone to help you to get through challenging times too.
Energy follows thought – meta physical law. Therefore where we place our attention…is where we place our intention and will lead to the attraction of more of that experience. Living in gratitude of the positive things, literally attracts more …
So if living in gratitude is not something that you do already. Why not try for a day, or a week and notice the difference in your health and well being? Find the gratitude even if you find yourself in a challenging dynamic at work or at home. If you feel swamped with emotion and you feel stress mounting, try taking a deep breath and focus your thoughts into that moment and find a positive thing to be grateful in. There is always, always something…and it doesn’t have to be a ‘big’ thing, do not underestimate the power of ‘small’
What five things then are you grateful in right now?
Enjoy your journey X
