MIST… mist and moor mist!

Typical mist on the moor this morning. One of those times when if you are not mindful the mist can be oppressive. The thick damp air can drag you down. I often find the mist comforting however- its a great place to proverbially ‘hide’ when you are feeling hurt and need the space and time to lick your wounds. You cant hide forever though – comes a time when you have to take courage and stand tall.

Funny old thing life – more so other people’s expectations on you. How often do we encounter situations and dynamics where people feel they have a right to those expectations as they have a ’label’ which they perceive you should display a certain behaviour pattern towards.

Makes things potentially difficult doesn’t it. It’s not that you ‘wouldn’t’ behave in an expected way – or that you are deliberately being antagonistic or ‘difficult.’ It’s just that, well, relationship dynamics need to be mutual, equal and earned through love and respect – surely? How many of us ‘try’ to fit into projected expectations – but then, not actually being true to ourselves, eventually ‘fall short’ of the other individuals expectations? And if that in itself doesn’t cause enough upset and hurt when said other displays their displeasure to us…we then can go on to self – annihilate for not being able to make the grade… bingo …before long learnt limited perception of self and self – imposed separation from core authenticity.

New Year is here. How about freeing up yourself, reconnecting to your core self and unleashing locked away potential? What in your life are you despondent about? What do you wish were different, what could enhance your life experience and bring you feelings of fulfillment?

Why not take back your power and be the architect of your own life’s experience? Step out the mist and be ‘seen’ for your true self.

Enjoy your journey X
