Simplicity
Simplicity: Host of white butterflies along the river bank today… enjoying the deep purple thistle flowers it appeared. Love butterflies…the simple coloured ones the most of all…my personal favourite the English Blue.
There is a lot to be said for simplicity. Both in butterflies and people! Intricate designs and complex persona suit some …but there is a lot to be said for simplicity and openness of character being much more ‘attractive’.
Sadly it seems that some beautiful ‘simple’ characters often slip into self – sabotage through comparing themselves to others and belittling themselves in light of what they perceive as another’s beauty and complexity. Life becoming a downward spiral into depression and self loathing.
It is a hard habit to face perhaps but the way forward is to bring the focus back onto yourself. Start to strengthen the relationship that you have with yourself and to enjoy being you. Seek to remember what it is that you love to do…and do it. Pay attention to your longings and seek to rekindle your dreams…what is it that you would love to experience? What is it that makes your heart expand with light and joy? These are good indicators of what you need to embrace within your life to open you to yourself and to more fulfilling ways of being.
… your core authentic self is beautiful…light and expansive… simple…
And so walking back across the bog from the river I am accompanied by a cloud of butterflies … light…airy…free
