Different Worlds

Different worlds: All feeling tranquil at the river…seems a world away from the cold rain and snow to be feeling the warm breeze and sun on your skin. Almost a different world. Fish were playing in the shallows this morning and further out larger fish were leaping for the midges…which are also out in force now. Love swimming with the fish…leaves you feeling a part of their world and rhythm…totally different vibe, not to mention pace…to land creatures.

Perception shifts and empathy are, in my opinion, tremendous. Wouldn’t want to not have the deep experiences of them. But what I have learnt however, is that they need to be embraced and balanced with strong boundaries…having an acute awareness of what just is you and what is actually empathy and perceptions of what others are going through and/or projecting at you through their perspectives and attitudes to life. It can be a challenge at times…you can be forgiving and ‘understanding’ …but if you are not careful, you can keep allowing some individuals to hurt you over and over…

if you put your hand into a wasp nest and get stung…why put it in again to see if it still hurts? I know that this was my behaviour pattern…until I realised that the ‘wasps’ will continue to sting… unless they were to become aware of what they were doing and have the realisation that they were hurting me…and so stop stinging. Wasps however don’t think like that…they haven’t got that awareness…and neither do some people …

Everyone is on their own pathway, are at differing levels of spiritual development and have our own perception of reality… we almost live in different worlds. And…that is fine…but having strong boundaries means that you can choose when to stick around or when you need actually to move on… so that you are not continuously hurt or stifled by the experience that you have encountered. You are, after all on your own spiritual path and that has to be honoured too.

Being connected to your core self, having awareness of who you are, the good, bad and ‘ugly’ living by your values and knowing yourself totally and utterly…is your GPS. You can then explore different perceptions and engage in other peoples perception territories and life landscapes…but you don’t lose your way…or more importantly…lose yourself.

And so… I swim with my fishies… and watch them glisten in the water…feeling reflective and happy to share their territory and landscape for a while…
