Inner Child

Inner Child.. The Inner Child played here today…with two pixies and two yampy dogs… in the rain and the mud. Was great fun at the time, but on return home adult hat had to take over and do all the ‘clean up.’ Worth it though despite the effort…made me reflect on the Inner child that is within each of us. The side of us that yearns to be free and have fun, but sadly has learnt an array of self limitation and has become ‘boxed in’ in life.

Do you ‘play’ feel light within your life?  Feel optimistic and curious about life? Or do you feel ‘bogged down?’ Expired…if you are inspired by an idea…quickly talk yourself out of it?

Seeking growth & expansion within your life and going after your dreams automatically brings your discerning voice of ‘reason’ to the fore. This is fine except for the fact that our 3D rational ‘logical’ brain can only base its ‘voice’ and assumptions on what it has experienced so far within your life and beliefs/perceptions ‘learnt’ from these.

Sadly when seeking to grow this rational voice becomes resistant. It seeks around old beliefs, behaviour patterns and learnt perceptions of lack and limitation and it can quite cruelly inform us that what we are aspiring to do or become is ridiculous, a waste of time and energy… reminding us in a variety of nasty self – sabotaging ways…

‘You never succeed so why try…what’s the point?’

‘You are going to fail…make yourself look stupid’

‘You aren’t good enough…clever enough…’

‘Its too risky.’

Let Go & Grow

This inner voice isn’t being deliberately nasty by nature. It is just reflecting back to us the dynamics of our current level of awareness and circulating the dynamics of circumstances (circa – circle) back round to us. In other words our beliefs create our experience of reality.

Stretching and ‘growing’ requires this set of circumstances or paradigm to shift. This shift triggers the voice to prevent us from potentially being ‘hurt’ and to gravitate us back to what is ‘known,’ even if we are unhappy and frustrated within that experience. It is a challenge therefore, that in seeking to change and follow our dreams we seem to enter a battle with our vulnerabilities…with ourselves.

There are numerous ways of working with this to ensure that you ‘stay on track’ stay connected to the infinite and the path of your dreams, but you cannot pretend that you don’t have such a voice or deny its existence. We live in a world of polarity – dark and light….you can’t expand without being aware of the energy of contraction also. The ‘voice’ therefore has to be heard, given the space to Be, but not given the role of directing your energy and being in the driver seat when you are pursuing your goals…it will pedal you backwards…fast!

Our main learnt perception of ourselves come from those learnt as a child…these then set us up for how we experienced life growing up through school and took us into adulthood. Each experience reinforcing the subconscious and neuro pathways within our brain that our perceptions were FACT and that is how life is like. Inner Child work is of great benefit…for it allows that inner part of us that learnt limiting belief to be balanced and healed…freeing up our energies to take on more empowering beliefs which then become new experiences within our external life. Quite literally our life can take on a new direction and level of happiness and fullfilment – in almost seeming ‘miraculous’ ways.
