Feeling Stuck?

 

Do you feel as though your head is going to explode with trying to see a way forward within a situation or situations?

Perhaps you feel that you would take action but you cant for the life of you see ‘the wood for the trees’as the old saying goes.

…and rather than move forward you find yourself going round and round in circles going nowhere fast…and feeling exhausted into the bargain.

Even worse,perhaps you do this for a long period of time and find yourself feeling burnt out and overwhelmed by things, maybe even feeling depressed because no matter what you do NOTHING feels as though it is moving.

The resulting tension from holding all this together begins to play havoc on not only your emotions but your physical state of health as well.

A simple technique to alleviate this (aside from using a colour breathing technique. My relating podcast will take you through this if you are wanting to try that too) is to use a simple reflection exercise.

Write out a list of the dynamics of the situation were you are feeling stuck or that is troubling you. Do this without over thinking it. Then take one item on the list at a time, breathe into it and feel what your truth is. Again don’t over think this and if the voice in your head tries to remind you of all the things that others have said or tries to tell you that you are unable to do this, just acknowledge that voice, breathe and continue to feel through that as to what is your truth.

When you have done this for each item on your list. Breathe and then play the ‘lets pretend game’ which bypasses the ego and allows you to gain a different perspective on what you have written. For this you simply pretend that a guru or a guide has given you the insights that you have written on your list. Pretending that it is an all knowing guide, what would you now feel regarding the information and insights? Would you act differently? Would you start to get an inkling of what you need or could do in order to make the first steps forward from where you had been feeling stuck?

Your higher self, that speaks through your intuition and gut feelings has all the answers that you need. You simply have to give it the space to be heard. This exercise can help you ‘hear’ that information all you have to do then is LISTEN!

Remember, take a breath, connect to your core and do something different.
